Rep. Matt Gaetz Sought Preemptive Trump Pardon on Sex Trafficking Probe
Donald Trump’s former bodyguard and later Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office John McEntee - told the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th insurrection that Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz told him he wanted a preemptive blanket pardon in the investigation into his friend Joel Greenberg’s hiring of underage sex workers. McEntee added Gaetz further claimed that while "he did not do anything wrong, but they are trying to make his life hell, and you know if the president could give him a pardon, that would be great.”
Exactly, because nothing says you are innocent of a crime, like asking for a “preemptive blanket pardon!” Gee, funny how Matt Gaetz seemed to feel secure in the fact Trump would be just fine with the idea of pardoning someone being investigated for “sex trafficking minors.” Hell, I’m old enough to remember way back to before the year 2015, when things like allegations of sex trafficking minors would mean the end of one’s political career. Of course, in today’s MAGA World, it’s a badge of honor - not to mention a really cool way to “Own the Libs.”
Anyway, so US Representative Matt Gaetz asked the president’s assistant for a “blanket pardon,” and honestly, I’d be perfectly fine with that. That is, just as long as they only pardoned the “blanket,” and not Matt Gaetz. Now, in Gaetz’s defense, not everyone believes what he did should be a crime. Why Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert doesn’t believe there’s anything wrong with being a “sex offender.” In fact, she likes them so much, that she even married one. Hell, Catholic priests don’t even go that far. Of course, priests aren’t allowed to marry, so there’s that.
Ah, well! What’s the big deal? I mean, it isn’t as if Matt Gaetz sits on the House Judiciary Committee, which has oversight over the US Department of Justice, which just happens to be investigating him for sex crimes. Oh, wait…! Can anyone say “conflict of interest?” That said, Matt Gaetz isn’t seriously worried about silly legal mumble jumble like “sex trafficking.” Besides, even if the DOJ ever does finally get around to charging him with something, he’ll just get a Trump judge like Judge Aileen Cannon to simply appoint one of those nifty “Special Masters” to resolve the issue out of court. Problem solved!

This guy, more than all the other repub assholes, is the one I want to see frog marched out in handcuffs and convicted!!
The legal system in this country has been a joke for decades. Certain people get away with crimes that others would be locked up for immediately. They are usually rich white males. Tell me there is a oligarchic patriarchy without saying it.
