An RT crew is caught in a missile strike alleged by Ukrainian forces on their hotel in Kherson. There are reports of at least two deaths with victims still trapped under rubble with fears of a second strike. As the voting enters its third day in the Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions we continue our special coverage of the ongoing referendums on whether to join Russia and hear from locals on the ground.
Over a thousand international observers are also working at the referendum in the republics with some noting the high level of organization and enthusiasm of many voters. In a UN General Assembly session, Russia's foreign minister says Moscow s security proposals were 'arrogantly' rejected by the West.
One of those killed was an X Ukrainian member of parliament that went back home to vote to rejoin the Russian federation. One comment pretty much sums up my view.
