Just this guy, you know. Extra credit identifying that one.

You could describe me as a recovering Southern Baptist. Surprisingly, given my background, my politics tend toward progressive.

I am a vegetarian and don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I'm not much into movies, but do enjoy live theater. I am a singer/songwriter, sometimes recording engineer, and also host a weekly open mic in Long Beach.

Other hobbies include law (I am not an attorney) and graphic arts.

Professionally, I have programmed computers, developed web sites, and developed and used cutting edge technology marketing.

Guess I'm just your basic 21st century Renaissance dude.

And as my late friend, Roz Larman, once told her radio audience, "All this, ladies, and he cooks, too."

Life expectancy of a sloth in the wild is 20 to 30 years. footnote 1: This assumes the entire four hours the sloth is awake is used for travel in the most direct line. A more realistic assumption is two hours per day travel, which would also include adjustment for minimal detours. This would increase the overall time to more than a century.

Per Nate Silver at, Bernie will probably finish first in all but two of the states voting/caucusing between now and the end of Super Tuesday. Nate says Minnesota goes for Klobuchar and Alabama goes for Biden. Bernie will probably have a large plurality of the votes going into the convention, and may well have finished first in 30 or more states. If that is the case, the DNC has two choices: 1) Acknowledge the will of the voters and nominate Bernie, or 2) Tell the voters, "Fuck you." If they choose the second option, they will lose to Trump and may end up killing the party altogether. I hope they are not stupid. I really hope that @Robecology is correct in his optimistic vision.

She basically refused their help and refused to listen when they tried to warn her she was in trouble in the key swing states. She was so damned certain that she was entitled to the Presidency that she also refused to listen to her husband when he tried to tell her that she needed to campaign in the swing states. Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016 according to all of the polls. As long as the DNC doesn't rig the nomination to give us their Worst. Possible. mcgeo52 comments on Feb 28, 2020:
The writer of the article is clearly misinformed. The Constitution prevents the President from pardoning a verdict of guilty in an impeachment by the Congress. The reason is that the President's pardon power derives from the fact that prosecution is an act of the Executive (i.e., the President), therefore the Executive is the one with the power to pardon. The one exception is impeachment, which is not an act of the Executive, but of Congress.

That would be three of the four Republicans necessary to change the rules. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) has indicated that she is not happy with the idea of a trial with no witnesses or evidence. My assumption from day one has been that Mueller had access to any and every thing the NSA had, and has known the real truth the entire time. Mueller's life has been dedicated to fighting enemies of this country, and the majority of that has been fighting organized crime. Go back and read Mueller's speech on organized crime that he gave eight years ago. He had taken down John Gotti and the Gambino crime family. He knew what was filling that void.
