Andrew wrote this site and these essays in 2018 because he saw a growing polarization problem and wanted to get ahead of it.

Why it matters now
The problem didn’t wait for anyone to read the essays. Feeds learned that anger keeps us scrolling, and AI is learning the same lessons faster. Writing someone off has never been easier.
But the fix was never only out there. It starts in your own head: a calmer mind, fewer people written off, one small thing forgiven. That’s good for the world, and it’s better for you first.
What to do with it
You don’t need to read every essay. Pick one of the eight principles, try its small practice today, and pass along the one that lands. The cycle starts with you.
